A new letter has emerged from author Philip Roth. Roth, author of “The Human Stain,” recently visited the page on his book and found that it was mis-representing the actual inspiration for the novel. When he tried to edit the page, he was quoted “no original research” by an admin and his edit was rejected.
This shows another flaw in the system. I understand the reasoning behind that guideline, but when an undisputed expert on a topic has a change to make, we should gratefully accept it rather than reject it.
